Long embrace in Brazil

I longed to be in a nowhere town in Kansas

To remain unknown
To wake early in the silver blue morning
To make coffee
To see a cardinal at the window on a leafless branch
To be in the poetry of a life lifted off the ground
Lifted past self
Or comfort
or the warm hand of another
Leather work boots on the wood floor
Simple me
Nobody
the coffee was enough
I go into my day
And it doesn't matter so much
